Aglets are 4mm due to the thickness of the laces,  so will not fit in most dress shoes or dressier boots. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWaxing will affect the color of the laces,  it typically darkens the colors and can leave a tacky\/waxy feeling and tend to make the laces stiffer.
